One for the loo
Ever had a drink in a bar that was just so good you had to take it into the toilet with you?
Or where it might have disappeared before you got back to where you left it?
Well, Guardian Drink Holders has come up with a novel device that allows you to go to the loo with drink in hand, pop it into its holder – discreetly and hygienically placed away from anything untoward – there for when you ’re ready to return to the action outside.
For the enterprising bar owner there is even advertising space on the holder to fl og to anyone who wants to target consumersat the point of … well you get the drift.
There is also a serious aspect to this, as it has been seen as asafety measure against the dangers of drink spiking.
What will they think of next ?

New invention aims to combat drink spiking crimes
4 November 2009
Drink spiking is a problem that we are all aware of and more people have been affected by it than one would think. With 600 cases of drink spiking reported a year this is only the tip of the iceberg as a staggering 84% fail to report the crime.
Yet with the reporting of date raping crimes and drink spiking crimes increasing, more and more bars across the UK are recognising their responsibility towards the safety of both their female and male customers.
Guardian Drink Holders provide a simple solution to the predicament of leaving drinks unattended while using a venue’s lavatories. Many do not wish to take their drinks with them for hygiene reasons and for lack of places to balance their drink. At the same time many bars are fed up with smashed glasses and glasses left around the sinks. Awarded the gold medal at the British Inventors Show in 2005 and the silver medal at the Expo International Inventors Show in 2006, Guardian Drink Holders are set to revolutionise the drinking environment in bars and the safety of women.
Conveniently situated on the back wall of the ladies cubicle and above men’s urinals (11% of reported drink spiking cases are from men ) Guardian Drinks Holders provides a practical, safe and hygienic place to hold a beverage providing the option for patrons to keep their drinks with them at all times. The Guardian Drinks Holder incorporates the latest SteriTouch antibacterial technology killing 99.99% of bacteria including E-Coli and MRSA. With a panel offering advertising opportunities for bars, products and services, Guardian Drinks Holders provide an income for the bar in which it is placed, offsetting costs of purchase and leaving no excuse for venues not to take responsibility for the safety of their customers.
Zebrano bars, in the West End’s Greek Street and Ganton Street, are the first bars in London to install this revolutionary product. Don Cameron of Zebrano believes “all bars have a responsibility for the safety of their guests. We are dedicated to providing a safe atmosphere at both our bars and believe that Guardian Drink Holders are an active way of tackling this issue.”
With Zebrano stepping up to the plate, it won’t be long before others follow.

New gadget to combat drink spiking
A new innovation from Guardian Drink Holders promises a solution to the widespread problem of drink spiking in UK bars.
It is estimated that the 600 cases of drink spiking reported each year in the UK represent just 16% of the total number of incidents. While women are the most vulnerable to having their drink spiked, 11% of the total incidents reported involved a male victim.
The new device is designed to be fixed to the back wall of a ladies’ cubicle or above the men’s urinals, providing a practical, safe and hygienic way for customers to keep their drinks with them at all times. The stable surface is also likely to reduce the number of smashed glasses left around the sinks.
For those with little desire to bring their drink into the fetid environment of their local establishment’s facilities on a Friday night, the Guardian Drink Holder also incorporates the latest SteriTouch antibacterial technology, capable of tackling MRSA and E-Coli.
The product, priced at £14.99 per unit, has initially been installed at Zebrano bars in London’s West End. Don Cameron, owner of Zebrano said: “All bars have a responsibility for the safety of their guests.
"We are dedicated to providing a safe atmosphere at both our bars and believe that Guardian Drink Holders are an active way of tackling this issue.”

Guardian Holders take on Ireland
Its been a good few years for Guardian Drinks thus far, what with the introduction of popular new design features, support from major bars in South Wales and the West, endorsement by the esteemed Roofie Foundation and winning coveted gold and silver medals at the British and International Inventors shows (respectively). Luckily, things arent showing any sign of slowing down yet. No siree. The Guardian boys are happy to announce that as of August 9th, they have officially launched Guardian Drinks holders in Ireland! And we're not just talking any bog-standard boozers here. Guardian gone premium, having installed their products in two of the emerald isles finest venues. First up is Time Bar Venue, a 2000 capacity super-club in Nass, Co.Kildare, which boasts top quality chefs, a star-studded and diverse entertainment bill and a gorgeously baroque and utterly luxurious setting. The second is at recently-opened Mantra, in Maynooth Town - a more student oriented club but nevertheless a top-quality venue that has established a stellar reputation, despite only having being open for 3 months.
This new business venture in Ireland has opened up many new doors for Guardian, with offers to install the holders in other venues across Ireland. Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope the Guardian gospel just keeps on growing!
